Hears To All The Skills

Dear Readers,

After what felt like having 100 papers read aloud to me, we are finished. Not that I didn't enjoy hearing what everybody thought of the book and what lesson they came out with after finishing To Kill A Mockingbird, the reading became a bit repetitive. Along the way I learned so much, and left the experience with a knowledge I did not have before. I learned beneficial skills mainly from others mistakes. A very common mistake some people had was plot summery in commentary sentences. This mistake can be very big problem in a paper about theme. Theme is supposed to be about the hidden message the author wanted to convey and there are usually many different messages hidden depending on how different people perceive the story and plot summery is unfit for a paper like this because you never want to tell your readers what the book is about and ruin it for them and if the reader has already read the book they already know what has happened and don't want to hear about it again. A different mistake a lot of people made in their 5 part paragraph was saying things that they had not addressed in the topic sentence and vise versa. In the topic sentence people expect to get a general idea of what they will be reading about in the body of the paragraph and if this happens people become confused and lose respect for your paper.

As well as learning from others mistakes I also learned from my own. I know that no one can be perfect and I am no exception. I had trouble with embedding personally. When embedding was explained in class I thought that I had gotten it but after hearing how others embedded their quotes I understood that not only do you have to introduce your quote but before your quote begins there needs to be a direct introduction that leads right in to the quote so the paper flows nicely and smoothly. I also need to work on my vocabulary. I feel as though a very popular trend in the other peoples papers was having nicely placed high vocabulary words intertwined with neutral writing. Having this skills will keep your reader interested and become little mini hooks through out the paper. From reading these 5 part paragraphs i have learned some many things that will benefit my future in writing.
