Hey Peeps!

So like all the time at lunch me and my friends have soooooo much fun! We like don't really do a lot of stuff but we LOL all the time, its crazy! Its like super funny when we make fun of olivia because she has like no clue what is going on half the time so we are all like "what? where? what just happened???" and most of the time she will like get really mad at us but we think it is the most funny thing ever! Sometimes at lunch this guy will sit with us, his name is, josh he is really funny and says random stuff like all the time. This week he told us about his halloween costume and how it the most legit thing ever! Usually like at the end of lunch we will all go get cookies and talk about awesomely random stuff. Lunch is totally one of my fav times of the day!

A few days ago I had this like totally cool and awesome idea. My idea was to like bring my camera to lunch and take totally random photos of my hecka awesome lunch table! The peeps that have my lunch are like totally legit. There is Emma, Kyra, Ella, Annie, Olivia, Tilia, and of course me!! I like took totally random pictures, like of peoples lunches, the table, and I took sooooooo many sneaky pictures, its not even funny! I think I took sneaky pics of everybody at the table, and some of people that I like don't even know! Mostly just like me and Kyra had the camera and between the both of us we got the most totally cool pics of all time. Kyra got this one of a random guy eating a burger, its pretty amazing. I also took this picture of a guy wearing a really cool hat and coat. This is the epic fun we have at lunch!

This is the totally random guy eating a burger!

The Imaginary Friends In The Closet

Dear Readers,

I am proud of all my writing, I feel that I have to be proud of it other wise I don't think I would be able to  write with confidence anymore. Since I am proud of all my writing I take most pride of the story I wrote for the writing WASL in 4th grade. My story was about an evil teacher that had hidden all of the student's imaginary friends in the closet that she always kept closed. Until one day when the kids decided to open the closet. All the kids and their imaginary friends lived happily ever after.

I was very satisfied with this piece of writing because I put so much thought and effort into making it a great story. Even when I was in fourth grade I was so pleased I wanted to show it to my parents. It was the most serious and important assignment I think I had been given in my life at that point.

My story was also very fun to write. As I said in my first blog post I love to write fiction and I think that writing that story may have started my love of writing fiction. I thought that my story was so exciting to write because after I got the prompt it was just me and my pencil writing what ever story that I could come up with to match the prompt. I was proud because I made a great story out of my imagination.

The Bean Trees

Dear Rdeaders,

For the past few weeks I have been reading The Bean Trees, even though I have not been reading it for very long I think that it is very captivating and always leaves me wanting more. Barbara Kingsolver's writing style is also vary nice in the way that it is witty and intelligent. She also has a wonderful vocabulary to describe things in great detail. There is one thing in The Bean Trees that I am not particularly liking, I don't see a very interesting plot unraveling in the book. Usually by almost half way there becomes an identifiable plot, but while I have read I have not seen one. I am slightly disappointed but believe that I will be seeing the plot soon.

I think that this book is very unique from other books because it has a unique setting, characters, etc. But I think that I would compare The Bean Trees  to Wicked, I think that they are alike because of the narration. In both of these amazing books the narration switches from person to person. I personally like books that do this because I find it very interesting to see the story through a different set of eyes. I like to have more then one point of view shown to me. I like this format as a writer as well because it lets me experience different writing styles for different personalities.

The literary element that most interests me in this book is characters. I like being there in the book while characters are being built, placed, and sometimes changed. The impact a character in a story is immense and if there are no characters in a story then the story is not a story. Have you ever read a story with no characters in it? Of course not, because characters bring theme, plot, and life to a story. Characters in The Bean Trees are very important, just as in any other story, but the characters in this book are very unique. for instance Taylor is a young women from Kentucky that drove all the way to Arizona in a VW beetle  with no windows. You don't see Taylor's character very often because she is very unique and amazing.

At this point in time my idea for the project is a movie. A movie sounds interesting and would challenge my technology and acting skills. I think it would be fun as well and open up my understanding of the story even more. I think it would open up my understanding because at this point I am only reading the book and getting one perspective. If I did a movie I would be seeing the book from the other side and BE the book.

My own little experience with To Kill A Mockingbird

Dear Readers,

When I first picked up To Kill A Mockingbird (which was before I even knew we had to read it for the summer assignment) I bored of it, VERY quickly. So I put it down. When I started reading it for the summer assignment I trudged through the first few pages and it started to get more interesting. by the second chapter I was hooked. The story was becoming much clearer to me and characters had been introduced. At that point I wanted to learn what their contribution to the story and what kind of characters they would turn out to be.

When I read this blog prompt the first thing that I thought of as my own theme and connection to this book was the unknown. I have always wondered what will happen in life and what will happen to me. Another idea that piggy backs on this is learning, and learning about all of the unknown things in my life. In To Kill A Mockingbird Scout learns many things, for instance how racist her town actually is and that not every body is like her and have the same values as her. I have learned so many things and have so much more to learn. I learned that school is not scary and that there are certain times to be serious and certain times to be joyful. But Just like Scout I have kept my free spirit and just added on knowledge.

Scout has also been through the unknown. She had no idea that the Tom Robinson case would effect her and her brothers life not only mentally, but physically as well. I still deal heavily with the unknown and am always wondering what will happen next. Scout isn't always as aware of the future as I am but she learned that it is a good thing to know what will be in the future or at least expect that something is bound to happen at some point.

Amaya
