Who or What is my Arthur Radley?????

Dear Readers,

There are potentially many "Arthur Radley's" in my life but I feel as though the one that hits hardest is school. I have been going to school for over half of my life and will keep going for awhile, and have had many experiences with it. I have had made friends, played games, done homework and have/had some amazing teachers. But before I knew how fun and exciting school could be I was afraid of it.

Like most kids I was intimidated by school because I would be away from my parents for six hours a day with complete strangers. But once I walked in the door of my kindergarten class I saw that it wasn't as scary as I imagined. It was not scary because all kids were my age, a bright colorful tree all made of paper was set up against the wall and hanging across the ceiling, there were also lots of great games to play and a teacher who's smile could light up the room. Once I went to school I understood that it was not scary just as Scout had thought that Boo Radley was not scary once she had been in his shoes.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is my Arthur Radley.

Love, Amaya

Introduction

Dear Readers,

If you are going to read my blog you should expect it to be witty (at least I hope) and smart. If you keep reading my blog posts you will find out a lot about me just by my writing. First of all I love to write fiction, because I feel that it is a free expression of my self where I can write anything with my own rules. I also love to imagine and build characters, and see them unfold with out even realizing that they are becoming more. Another thing I love about fiction is that it is always different, every story has a new setting, new plot, new characters etc.. So every time I open a new book or write a new story I immerse my self in to that adventure.
I feel that english class is a way to express myself and while expressing myself I can also get ready for life by learning writing styles and tools. You need at least basic skills of writing because any career that you make a living from will need them. English class is also where people can connect with one another about literature and what it means and what is being said and other peoples opinions about it, and what different aspects are presented in that literature. But I think the over all meaning of English is to help you for the rest of your life in whatever you do.
If a stranger were to read my blog I would hope that they would not get bored of my writing, and read what I have to say about the different topics that I will be writing about. I also want my internet readers to see how my writing skill will progress through out the year. I would also like to show my readers a different view of the literature we discuss, and thoughts about it that I think are true. I also would like to express myself by my own opinions and not being afraid to share it.
English is very important for High School and Collage because it will be helpful for life. In High School English is required for all four years to get into college because colleges want you to know how to write well so that they can teach you what you want to do for the rest of your life, and after college you will almost certainly have a job that requires a least some writing. If you don't know how to write well then you wouldn't be able to get what you wanted done. Especially with your career you do not want to get it wrong and mess up.
As an English student entering Honors English I know that I have a lot to learn and I am very excited to learn it. I know that I may have trouble with some things but I will learn and get everything ironed out. I want to succeed in this class and will to that by trying my hardest and doing my best.

love,
Amay-Zing
