Who or What is my Arthur Radley?????

Dear Readers,

There are potentially many "Arthur Radley's" in my life but I feel as though the one that hits hardest is school. I have been going to school for over half of my life and will keep going for awhile, and have had many experiences with it. I have had made friends, played games, done homework and have/had some amazing teachers. But before I knew how fun and exciting school could be I was afraid of it.

Like most kids I was intimidated by school because I would be away from my parents for six hours a day with complete strangers. But once I walked in the door of my kindergarten class I saw that it wasn't as scary as I imagined. It was not scary because all kids were my age, a bright colorful tree all made of paper was set up against the wall and hanging across the ceiling, there were also lots of great games to play and a teacher who's smile could light up the room. Once I went to school I understood that it was not scary just as Scout had thought that Boo Radley was not scary once she had been in his shoes.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is my Arthur Radley.

Love, Amaya
